During the period 1995 to 1998, CSIS consultants were responsible for the strategic direction and project management of the Australian Stock Exchange web site.

During this period, a second generation web site (ASX Sharenet) was developed and implemented.

ASX Sharenet included:
»  live market data/news
»  a multi-levelled sharemarket game
»  an interactive 'tour' of ASX
»  a broker referral service
»  an Information Centre for the sale of market related information and products
»  a wide range of other information.

The site was developed using in-house technical resources and a third party interactive design company. ASX ShareNet was launched in December 1996.

It was a spectacular success, with the use of the site doubling every month. For the period of CSIS supervision, the site consistently ranked in the top tier of most visited web sites in Australia.
