CSIS principals have provided extensive consulting support to ASX over a long period.

For the period 1987 to 1998, Geoff Reynolds provided advice in strategic planning and project management to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). This included:
»  Management of a five year business strategy review for the Office of the Managing Director (1995). This landmark plan led to the demutualisation of ASX and other key securities industry developments in Australia;
»  Management of two major information systems' strategy reviews (1986/87 and (1994/95). The 1986/87 review was granted a National Award for Excellence in Information Technology;

Michael Aikins was the first Chief Technology Officer of the ASX and was the chief technical architect on a $26M project to design and deliver a distributed automated derivative trading system. This project deployed a high-speed national network serving some 200 participants as well as international market connections.

Rory Collins was a senior executive at the ASX for 12 years. Rory was instrumental in directing the merging of six regional exchange platforms to form the new ASX in 1987. During this time as Director of ASX Information Systems, screen trading was also introduced, major core systems redeveloped and a continent-wide backbone network launched.

From 1994 to 1997, Eve Crestani provided the ASX with advice on the strategic direction of a major business unit including restructuring of the business unit (products, processes, people and locations) and re-engineering of major systems.

The Australian Stock Exchange asked Jeff Yancey to provide advisory services as a Consulting Architect for the SEATS Trading Processor redevelopment and Foreign Market Linkage (FML) projects. Jeff was also contracted by the ASX to assist the National Manager of Information Systems in developing a strategic plan for the next generation of Equities Trading Systems.
